Dear alumni, here are our candidates (in alphabetical order) running for the Alumni Club board elections on Wednesday 24th July 2019:

Alexandru Stan

Most recent graduation year: 2015
Faculty: Computer Science

Brief introduction: “Hi, my name is Alex. I’ve started my Unibz story in 2010 when I began attending my Bachelor in Computer Science. After graduation, I decided to pursue also my Master studies here. Eventually, I joined the ICT of Eurac/Unibz, where I currently work. During my years here I’ve been lovingly involved in the organization of plenty UniParties (board 2011-13), three Snowdays editions, various student activities as student advisor, student representative in my student dorm (Haus St.Benedikt) and setting off few of the first Talìa’s association events in Brixen. Last but not least, I’ve been part of the latest Alumni Club board (2017-2019) and I hope to continue giving my energies to reach the goals of this association.”

My goals: “My aims are to complete the projects that we already started with the Alumni Club board 2017-19, such as the realization of an Alumni Home Coming event in Spring 2020, obtaining a part-/full-time employee working for the Alumni Club, further development of the Alumni Club network (companies vs unibz vs unibz alumni worldwide), more services to the Alumni (e.g. “@alumni.unibz.it” emails), various workshops/seminars on current hot topics, and lifelong learning.”

Andrea Faustini

Most recent graduation year: 2017
Faculty: Economics & Management

Brief introduction: “Dear fellow Alumni, I studied Economics and Management from 2014 to 2017. However, as many of you, studying at unibz was not just about a diploma but was way more than that. When I was a student I also had the chance to improve students studying and living conditions as student representative in the University Council. Now as alumnus, I would like to give something back to our community by offering my time, energy and experience.”

My goals: “Your university is forever. My goal is to enhance our network of Alumni by organizing meetups and events, and by providing useful services to our Alumni because unibz is not just a 2/3 years courses.”

Claudio Degasperi

Most recent graduation year: planned 2019
Faculty: Education – scienze comunicazione plurilingue

Brief introduction: “Metto sempre il Tu davanti a tutto, perché tu sei importante e la tua azione può contare molto. Su di me hanno detto: “Mr. Degasperi is a gifted communicator and very expressive orator. He has organized in-house presentations for my colleagues, and has also been involved in presenting new projects to sponsors and potential clients – with a very high success rate. I have also been privileged to observe Mr. Degasperi in the initial stages of setting up Kunstpass; he is a catalyst and extremely successful in project management and motivating his colleagues” – Hemily Harris – English teacher and translator, sommelier and professional musician.”

My goals: “Fundraising su progetti specifici. Maggior radicamento sul territorio grazie agli ex studenti ambasciatori. Ulteriore internazionalizzazione dell’Università. Integrazione degli alumni Erasmus, coinvolgimento di enti e istituzioni glocali.”

Daniel Colm

Most recent graduation year: 2011
Faculty: Economics & Management

Brief introduction: “Hi, I’m Daniel. I’m from Desenzano and have been living in Bolzano since 2007, when I started my bachelor in Economics and Management. After two years in Vienna for my master, I came back to South Tyrol for work. I am currently working as a business consultant in Bolzano and have been member of the alumni board for the last 4 years.”

My goals: “The choice of Bolzano for my bachelor studies was a rational one. The choice to come back to Bolzano was an emotional one. Bolzano is not only a wonderful place where to live and work, but to me it became “my place”. After all those years in the flyer (kikero), SCUB, Snowdays and so on, Bolzano was a place where I knew my way around. And the university is part of that place, both physically and emotionally. And though I’m sure many people share this sentiment, not all found in Bolzano the place to stay and live (at least for now). My engagement has been and will be to build the infrastructure that will allow all those who have gone through unibz to keep a strong link to Bolzano. A strong basis has been laid in the last years and, finally, ambitious results are taking shape. This candidacy is aimed at profiting the most from this positive momentum, at creating a strong and vital community on which new projects can find fertile soul to flourish.”

Gordana Stevancevic

Most recent graduation year:
Faculty: Economics & Management

Brief introduction: “I have a Bachelor in Economics & Management and a Master in Entrepreneurship @unibz. I was also student representative during my Master’s Degree and contributed organising two study trips for my fellows (Techparks Berlin, Bremen and Helsinki and Silicon Valley).”

My goals: “I would like to complete projects started with previous board, such as Home Coming Alumni 2020 and a part-time or full time person funded by unibz.”

Marco Martini

Most recent graduation year: 2018
Faculty: Economics & Management

Brief introduction: “Hi, I’m Marco 👋 I graduated last year, so I’m a fresher in the Alumni community, but I have always been involved in our university life. I started by being a helper at Snowdays and ended up coordinating it and being board member of SCUB. Uni-parties, Okay Club, F6 aperitifs and World Cup viewings, Euromasters and Royals Cup: I’ve done it all. I just never made it to Talìa activities… The commitment to improve our life as student was always present during the years in Bolzano, and now, as Alumni, the same desire sparked up.”

My goals: “As board member of the Alumni Club I want to commit to organise “”Alumni Nights”” all around Europe. We need to foster the relationships and contacts between alumni living in the same cities, and create local and international active networks. Moreover, I would push to organise an innovative business conference, together with PRO, Uni-Party/SCUB and K!kero, encompassing all the faculties, to gain our university, students and alumni more visibility both locally and internationally. Lastly, I aim to organise the infamous “”Alumni goes Snowdays”” and keep up the good ol’ traditions ⛷🍻🏂”

Matthias Cologna

Most recent graduation year: 2018
Faculty: Economics & Management

Brief introduction: “My name is Matthias Cologna and I studied first PPE and then Economics and Management of the Public Sector at our university. During my studies, I participated and helped out at as many events as possible to create and sustain a sense of community, e.g. the sustainability festival or the student elections. Thanks to unibz I was able to collect various working experiences (internship at Ministry for Public Administration and Banca d’Italia) and at the moment I am working as an economic researcher at the Chamber of Commerce of Bolzano/Bozen.”

My goals: “I am convinced that it is very important, especially as a South Tyrolean, to create a stronger network between unibz and its alumni. For our small university it is paramount to involve alumni in sharing experiences and opportunities with current students: alumni conferences and guest presentations could help to achieve this. Moreover, the alumni club should try to cooperate with public and private institutions for allowing graduates to find suitable job offers and also to show local enterprises which opportunities they could get by hiring an unibz alumnus. I would really enjoy to work for these goals and to stay in touch with unibz students through the alumni club!”

Sabina Sabanadzovic

Most recent graduation year: planned 2019
Faculty: Economics & Management

Brief introduction: “Hi! My name’s Sabina and I’m finishing my bachelor in Economics and Social Sciences. I’ve always been active in the world of the unibz associations and once I’m done with my bachelor I’d like to get involved in the alumni club as well.”

My goals: “I’d like to be part of a great group with everyone helping each other and to create a sense of community among the unibz alumni”.
